Over here at Shades of Pinck, we know no accomplishment is too small, so we look for any excuse to celebrate!

We recently pulled out a few Chappywraps and lit up the firepit to celebrate the season change. We didn’t need much else to enjoy the crisp air, but we did include a few packs of Tastykake’s new mini bundt cakes in our daily celebrations.

It is night and day between the before and after of this moody kitchen renovation, and the best part is we made minimal changes that had a HUGE impact on the space.

Our first decision was to paint the cabinets. I knew I wanted white for a crisper look, but I’ve loved see kitchens with islands that were a darker, moodier color. Black just felt right. We ended up with SW Iron Ore on the island + BM White Dove everywhere else!

A few weeks ago, we packed up my little babe and headed to Capri, Italy for a dear friends wedding. My husband, Teagan, and I brought along two friends to experience  some of the beauty and culture Italy has to offer. We spent 4 nights in Capri and our 5th and final night in Rome.

The summers in Columbia can be unbearable with the extreme heat, but there’s nothing like a refreshing and sometimes unexpected cocktail to cool things down! I was recently introduced to Jackson Morgan Whiskey Creams and have had fun crafting playful, southern-inspired drinks this season. Their American-made whiskey cream was crafted from a 1921 family original recipe and comes in curated flavors like salted caramel, peaches and cream + this delicious whipped orange cream I that we’re using in the cocktail below to reimagine a childhood favorite.
