It is night and day between the before and after of this moody kitchen renovation, and the best part is we made minimal changes that had a HUGE impact on the space.

Our first decision was to paint the cabinets. I knew I wanted white for a crisper look, but I’ve loved see kitchens with islands that were a darker, moodier color. Black just felt right. We ended up with SW Iron Ore on the island + BM White Dove everywhere else!

As you may or may not already know, my husband and I recently purchased a home together in Charleston, SC and I wanted to update you guys on the renovation progress. I have partnered with Lowe’s to work on one of the guest bathrooms and I am so excited with how it turned out! We went with an island house theme and did a complete refresh with Lowe’s Origin 21 collection wallpaper, vanity lights, a rattan light fixture, floors, and a fresh coat of paint in Sherwin Williams 6530.

Bringing a newborn home and beginning your new day-to-day life is no small task. The day I brought my son home, I quickly learned that I was underprepared. Even after spending hours on my registry, and recieving sooo many generous gifts from our village, my husband still had to run out to pick something the day we arrived home! If you follow me on IG then you know we’ve been hard at work renovating a new Lake House– because we obviously had sooo much extra time on our hands lol! There’s still  much to be done, and we’re moving much more slowly than we had predicted (although this seems to be industry standard at this point).

It’s officially March — which means it’s time for spring cleaning. One of the most forgotten-about areas for organization in my life is one we use most: the fridge. Our fridge is basically a revolving door of food for two middle schoolers, a baby, two parents, and the grandparents and friends cycling through our house. Simply put: it’s a lot going on.

The day Teagan came home, we didn’t have much space for him. I know what you’re thinking… “you have 9 months to figure this out, what took you so long?!”.. but when I tell you my pregnancy flew by I mean it.
